'WOMAN IN YELLOW' OIL PORTRAIT BY CHARLOTTE MISH - Original woman's oil portrait on canvas by listed Oregon artist, Charlotte Roberta Mish (1903 - 1974). From the artist's estate, as stamped on the verso. Art measures 27” H x 21” W. Artist bio: Mish gained national attention for her poetry published in the Forum and participated in the annual art exhibitions at the Seattle Art Museum. She became a charter member of the Oregon Society of Artists and exhibited with them in their first two shows. She was also known for her murals including her series of blue heron murals for Portland's Congress Hotel and her Albina shipyards mural which hung int he lobby of the US Seamen's Services Recreation Center. Her paintings were owned by President Franklin Roosevelt and Henry J. Kaiser and is in the Capitol Collection in Salem & the Oregon Historical Society. Her work has been exhibited extensively throughout the United States.
