RED SKELTON ”THE GENT” SIGNED SERIGRAPH - Limited edition clown serigraph on canvas by listed artist, Richard ”Red” Skelton (IN, 1913-1997), signed center right and dated '77. Titled ”The Gent” and numbered 2462/5000 on the certificate of authenticity on the verso. Art measures 18” H x 14” W presented in a frame measuring 22” H x 18” W x 2” D.  Artist bio: Richard Red Skelton was born in Vincennes, Indiana and as a teenager worked in a circus, continuing as an entertainer in vaudeville. By the 1930s he had his own radio show and within a few years had become one of the most popular comedians in the movies. During his leisure he became a competent painter, mostly of clowns.
