RAILWAY EXPRESS AGENCY ADVERTISING SIGN - The sign is porcelain enamel over steel. These signs were manufactured from the early 20th century untill the company ceased operations in 1975. The sign measures approx. 8” H x 8” W x 0.5” D. The Railway Express Agency was a dominant national package delivery service in the United States that operated from 1918 to 1975. Operating much like modern logistics companies, they utilized existing railroad infrastructure  to rapidly transport parcels, money, and goods.
