The sign is made of tin and is promoting their car or coach varnish. This sign was manufactured circa 1910s. It has an approx. measurement of 10” H x 16” W x 0.5” D.  The Brooklyn Varnish Manufacturing Company was a historic industrial enterprise that produced paints, stains, and finishes out of New York during the early 20th century. Operating out of Brooklyn, the company is now a notable piece of regional manufacturing history. The company notably took over operations of the former Masury Paint Works, whose historic DUMBO factory building still stands as a classic piece of Brooklyn's industrial architecture.
