Handwritten & Stamped Letter by Rabbi Shalom Yitzchak Sternberg, Dayan of Antwerp (Author of Birkat Shalom). - An original handwritten letter by Rabbi Shalom Yitzchak HaCohen Sternberg, the prominent Dayan and Moreh Tzedek of the Orthodox community in Antwerp, Belgium. The Author: Rabbi Shalom Yitzchak Sternberg was a central rabbinic figure in pre-war Belgium. He is most famous for his monumental halakhic work Birkat Shalom (Antwerp, 1930), which dealt extensively with the establishment of the Antwerp Eruv, referencing discussions with leading Torah giants of the era such as the Admor of Sochatchov and Rabbi Meir Shapiro of Lublin. Content of the Letter: The letter is addressed to the ”Great and Famous Rabbis, ” notifying them of a donation he is facilitating.
