OHIO VALLEY HEPPLEWHITE SLANT-FRONT DESK - Probably western Pennsylvania or southern Ohio, 1800-1815, walnut and poplar. Dovetailed case with four graduated drawers with curly walnut fronts, desk interior with prospect, cubbies, and document drawers, all on French feet. 46.25” high, 44” wide, 21” deep, 34” writing height. Provenance: a Gallipolis, Ohio collection. Condition: Refinished, original brasses, minor cracks to two corners of the lid, some restroration to the feet.
