CHIPPENDALE BLANKET CHEST - Pennsylvania or Ohio, cherry and walnut, early 19th century. Dovetailed case on ogee bracket feet, interior till with two secret drawers. 29” high, 50” wide, 22” deep. Provenance: a Gallipolis, Ohio collection. Condition: Old finish, original strap hinges, bear trap lock missing, one back foot facing may be a very early replacement. UPDATE: both back facings are early replacements.
