CLYDE SINGER (OHIO, 1908-1999): SELF-PORTRAIT - Oil, signed lower left. Half-length portrait of the artist wearing a red turtleneck and brown blazer. Matted and framed. 16” high, 12” wide (board); 30” high, 26” wide (overall). This portrait was included in the 2008 retrospective exhibition, ”Clyde Singer's America, ” at the Canton Museum of Art, and illustrated as figure 91 in the accompanying catalog. Provenance: From the collection of the late Pete Slates, Carrollton, Ohio. Condition: Good condition; this was not removed from the frame for examination and assumed to be on masonite
