CHIPPENDALE SLANT-FRONT DESK - Possibly Rhode Island, late 18th century, cherry and chestnut. Dovetailed case with four graduated drawers, ogee bracket feet, and an interior with drawers and cubbies (the central drawer being shell-carved). 42” high, 39” wide, 21” deep, 29.5” writing height. Provenance: From the Lifetime Collection of a Northeast Ohio Dealer. Condition: Refinished, period pulls, 2 of the lid hinges are old replacements, a few minor pieced repairs.
