Muskingum County, 3rd quarter-19th century. Large jar with freehand cobalt "10" with tornadoes and dots, 17" high. Provenance: private collection. Condition: Both handles are clean off and appear to have blown off in the kiln; there are 1-2 hairlines extending from some attachment points that have been glazed over reinforcing the theory that they came off in the kiln. There are a couple of hairlines at the base.
