PAINTED PIE OR FOOD SAFE - American, 2nd half-19th century, poplar. Twelve punched tins with star flower design, and old or original red paint. 46.5” high, 41” wide, 17” deep. Provenance: Kemp collection, Belpre, Ohio; purchased from Garth's Auctions (Delaware, Ohio) at least 30 years ago. Condition: Barn surface, some wear and minor loss, and some tin corrosion.
