A handstitched quilt in solid green, red, and cheddar pieces with a lattice design in green and twenty-one large tulip appliques in alternating colors with red and green sawtooth border. Signed and dated in ink at lower right ”MARY F. DIELE 1861”. 99” by 83”. Dr. Gunn purchased the quilt at Zoar, Ohio in August 2017 from dealer Gary Promey, sold at Garth's Auctions.
