JACQUARD COVERLET - American, mid-19th century. A coverlet in red, blue, and burgundy with foliate crosses surrounded by leaf and grapevine wreaths, with a secondary motif of rose medallions and small peacocks, double side borders with flower pots, insects, fowl, and squirrels, a grape and tulip foot border, and double geometric corner blocks. 83” by 83”.
