BIRD-DECORATED STONEWARE COOLER - Portage County, Ohio, 3rd quarter-19th century. Probably eight gallons, ovoid, double handled, with a cobalt bird (wild turkey?) on one side and the Greek letters for Alpha and Omega on the other. 21.5” high. Provenance: from a distinguished Ohio collection. PLEASE NOTE OUR SHIPPING PROCESS. There are four ways to get your purchases from our gallery to you: 1. Our affordable in-house shipping: shippable items will be packed and shipped in-house, and larger items will be sent via freight; we will bill you separately for the cost of packing and shipping. Condition: Cracks , the worst being to the bird side, crudely repaired spout, cobalt fry and loss (as-made).
