PAINTED BOX - Probably Illinois, mid-late-19th century, pine. Dovetailed box with original dark paint and original hardware. Retains a 1924 Chicago newspaper on the interior. 10” high, 21.5” wide, 13” deep. Provenance: an Illinois collection. PLEASE NOTE OUR SHIPPING PROCESS. Our affordable in-house shipping: shippable items will be packed and shipped in-house, and larger items will be sent via freight; we will bill you separately for the cost of packing and shipping. Condition: Wear, front lock plate is original, but the lock behind it is replaced.
