A framed page 2 from Alexander Wilson's ”American Ornithology; or, the Natural History of the Birds of the United States: Illustrated with Plates Engraved and Colored from Original Drawings Taken from Nature.” First series published 1808-1814, with a later series published 1824-25. Depicting a Wood Thrush, a Red-Breasted Thrush or Robin, a White-Breasted Black-Capped Nuthatch, and a Red-Bellied Black-Capped Nuthatch. Engraved by Alexander Lawson. Framed. 13.5” high, 9” wide (sight), 22” high, 20” wide (overall). Provenance: a Kentucky collection. PLEASE NOTE OUR SHIPPING PROCESS.
