TWO SMALL DOVETAILED BOXES - American, 19th century, walnut. Two small dovetailed boxes, original surfaces. One plain with a separate lid, bottom attached with wire nails. Other with wide protruding lid and beveled base, brass escutcheon, hinged lid, square cut nails. Largest 5.75” high, 12.75” wide, 8.5” deep. Provenance: an Illinois collection.
