A hexagon patchwork quilt top composed of multicolor 'upcycled' fabrics in dominant shades of red and purple, with a printed portrait of Teddy Roosevelt fussy cut on one piece. Hand-pieced and basted, with scrap paper backing. Some notations include a receipt reading ”H C Sanders, corner of Washington...” a ledger page, receipts including one from Spruce Street pharmacy, ”blankets, oct can, frying pan, plates, ” ”comb, brush, pitcher, matches, ” portions of typewritten and a handwritten letters, and ”742 Franken av...” Hand-pieced and basted. 75” long, 40” wide.
