OVERSHOT COVERLETS - American, 19th century. Two overshot coverlets, the first in indigo and white, with barcode design and striped border. Center seam. Tied fringe on one end. 83” long, 74” wide w/o fringe; the second indigo, red/pink, and white. Centerfield with geometric design and thick border of narrow stripes. Fringed on three sides, center seam. 78” long, 70” wide w/o fringe. Provenance: The Collection of the late Dr. Virginia Gunn, Wooster, Ohio.
