JACQUARD COVERLET - Possibly Ohio, mid-19th century. A jacquard coverlet in blue, red, and white. Centerfield with fancy diamond lattice containing rosettes. Side borders have grapevine design. Bottom border has town design. Corner blocks with eagle and ”LIBERTY.” All known signed coverlets with this pattern come from Ohio. Fringed on two sides, bound on both ends. 79” long, 61” wide w/o fringe. Provenance: The Collection of the late Dr. Virginia Gunn, Wooster, Ohio.
