TWO QUILT TOPS - American, late 19th or early 20th century, silk and velvet. A small log cabin quilt top composed of many-colored pieces, silk logs and velvet center. Hand-stitched with rough basting. 55” long, 41” wide; together with a multicolored puffy quilt top with gathered rosette-like puffs and a ruffled edge with vine embroidery trim. 72” long, 58” wide. Provenance: The Collection of the late Dr. Virginia Gunn, Wooster, Ohio.
