OCEAN WAVES QUILT AND ROB PETER TO PAY PAUL QUILT TOP - American, cotton and mixed fabrics. A possibly Amish quilt in a black and blue ocean waves pattern. Hand pieced and quilted. 81” high, 79” wide; together with a patchwork quilt top with 'Rob Peter to Pay Paul' pattern of interlocking circles - segments composed of strips of various 'upcycled' fabrics, and circle centers solid black. Back of quilt top includes recycled sugar sacking. Hand-pieced with some embroidery and loose basting around edges. 85” long, 71” wide. Provenance: The Collection of the late Dr. Virginia Gunn, Wooster, Ohio.
