MODIFIED NINE-PATCH QUILT - American, 19th century, cotton. A latticed nine-patch variation with four-square pieces. Composed of brown, pink, red, and green printed fabrics on a blue printed ground. Hand-pieced and quilted. 79” long, 76” wide. Provenance: The Collection of the late Dr. Virginia Gunn, Wooster, Ohio; purchased at auction from Barton family, Wayne County, Ohio, 2002.
