OHIO JACQUARD COVERLET, 1840S, RICHLAND COUNTY - Richland Co., Ohio, 1840s. A jacquard coverlet in light and dark blue, red, and white. Centerfield composed of double roses with offset blossom and small stars. Large rose border. Corner blocks signed ”FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP RICHLAND COUNTY STATE OF OHIO 184[3 OR 8?].” Fringed on two sides, with center seam. 87” long, 69” wide. Provenance: The Collection of the late Dr. Virginia Gunn, Wooster, Ohio.
