JACQUARD COVERLET - American, mid-19th century. A jacquard coverlet in pink, indigo, and white. Centerfield with double roses offset with 16-point rosettes, stars, dots, and blossoms. Side borders with eagles neve to berry bush, with evergreen tree under their tails and matching corner blocks. Bottom border with eagles beside fruit trees, above a strip with snowballs and stars. Fringed on two borders, with center seam. 80” long, 66” wide. Provenance: The Collection of the late Dr. Virginia Gunn, Wooster, Ohio.
