SIX POINTED STAR APPLIQUE QUILT - American, 20th century, cotton. A six-pointed star quilt composed of large six-diamond stars with printed blue, brown, pink, and grey fabrics, offset with smaller free-hand six-pointed stars in solid brown. Appliqued and embroidered to a solid cream ground with brown border. Hand-stitched, machine bound, hand quilted, with embroidery embellishments. 92” long, 81” wide. Provenance: The Collection of the late Dr. Virginia Gunn, Wooster, Ohio.
