SILK LOG CABIN QUILT AND QUILT TOP - American, late 19th century, silk. A log cabin quilt with vibrant purple, brown, yellow, green, and blue silk fabrics. Hand-pieced and tied with colorful yarn. 70” long, 64” wide; together with a log cabin quilt top in multicolor fabrics. Blocks mounted to backing pieces in brown, blue, and purple fabrics. Hand-stitched. 56” long, 55” wide. Provenance: The Collection of the late Dr. Virginia Gunn, Wooster, Ohio.
