CARROLL CO., OHIO JACQUARD COVERLET, SIGNED PHILIP ANSHUTZ - Carroll Co., Ohio, 1840s. A jacquard coverlet in indigo, red, green, and white. Centerfield contains flower urns with hummingbirds, butterflies, and bells, offset with a floral X. Border contains geometric floral vines. Green corner blocks read ”P H / Anshutz / yn / Carrol / ton.” Center seam, fringed on three sides. 80” square w/o fringe. Provenance: The Collection of the late Dr. Virginia Gunn, Wooster, Ohio.
