JACQUARD COVERLET - American, mid-19th century, wool. A jacquard coverlet in indigo and blue. Centerfield has two large foliate or shell medallions, offset by other foliate lattices, medallions, and other motifs. Vine border without corner blocks. No center seam. Fringed on three sides. 87” long, 77” wide w/o fringe. Provenance: The Collection of the late Dr. Virginia Gunn, Wooster, Ohio.
