TWO APPLIQUE QUILTS - American, 19th-20th century, cotton. Includes a pieced and applique quilt with a Rose of Sharon design composed of red, yellow, and green printed fabrics on a white ground. Hand-pieced and quilted. 64” square; together with a pieced and applique quilt with an abstract design composed of blue printed fabrics on solid quite ground, with four hearts in center and leaves at corners. Hand-stitched and quilted. Signed on rear corner by Nancy Milbaugh. 74” square. Provenance: The Collection of the late Dr. Virginia Gunn, Wooster, Ohio.
