FAN/CHAIN APPLIQUE QUILT - American, mid 20th century, cotton. A pieced and applique quilt in McCall's fan or chain pattern from 1931-42, composed of solid green, pink, purple, and orange fabrics on a solid white ground. Machine-pieced and hand-quilted. 81” long, 67” wide. Provenance: The Collection of the late Dr. Virginia Gunn, Wooster, Ohio.
