FLOWER BASKET AND FOUR-SQUARE YO-YO QUILT - American, second quarter 20th century, cotton. A yo-yo quilt made from round, gathered tulle-like rosettes in offset flower basket design. Composed of blue, pink, yellow, and green fabrics on a white ground, with hexagon flower border. Hand-pieced. 92” long, 84” wide; together with a yo-yo quilt composed of four gathered rosettes offset with a square, all in solid white fabric. Hand-stitched. 96” long, 81” wide. Provenance: The Collection of the late Dr. Virginia Gunn, Wooster, Ohio.
