UNUSUAL WOVEN BLANKET - American, 19th century, wool. A single-sided woven blanket with red, blue, indigo, and teal on a white ground. Central design features a large 8-point star in a square with sawtooth edges, surrounded by leaves, stars, crosses, trees, and other motifs. Unusual pattern and raised, blurry effect. With center seam, no fringe. 86” long, 64” wide. Provenance: The Collection of the late Dr. Virginia Gunn, Wooster, Ohio.
