OHIO-ATTRIBUTED JACQUARD COVERLET, MID-19TH CENTURY - Probably Ohio, mid-19th century. Jacquard coverlet in red and white. Centerfield of 24-point rosettes in fancy lattice layout, offset by smaller stars. Border of grape and flower vines. Fancy floral corner block. 73” x 63”. The only weaver to sign his name to coverlets of this pattern was Adam Yearous, working in Ashland and Knox Counties in the 1850s and 1860s. Provenance: the collection of the late Dr. Virginia Gunn, Wooster, Ohio.
