MIDWESTERN DIAMOND-PANELED HANGING CUPBOARD - Probably Wisconsin, 2nd half-19th century, pine. Small size, with a diamond-paneled door revealing a complex interior. 29” high, 21.5” wide, 12” deep. Diamond (or lozenge) panels adorn the case furniture made in a number of Midwestern communities, as well as in Canada. Typically, such furniture was made by German immigrants, such as those in Zoar, New Bremen, Ohio, and Oldenburg, Indiana. Provenance: private collection; purchased from Tom Good (Wisconsin).
