A modern Greek Orthodox icon of the Mother of God with the Infant Christ, Late 20th or early 21st C. - A modern Greek Orthodox icon of the Mother of God with the Infant Christ, Late 20th or early 21st century. A polychrome depiction of the crowned Mother of God with the Christ Child, flanked by two angels. The faces and hands are left visible beneath a richly embossed and chiselled silver overlay or riza (925), decorated with floral tendrils, beaded borders and geometric motifs. 18 x 13 cm.
