Carl Kauba, Indianerhäuptlingum 1908, unsigniert, gestempelt geschützt, Modellnummer 5306, Bronze hell patiniert, naturalistische Darstellung eines tanzenden amerikanischen Ureinwohners in typischer Kleidung mit Federschmuck und Tomahawk, naturalistischer Sockel aus Achat, nicht ganz komplett, H Bronze 24 cm, H gesamt 29 cm. Künstlerinfo: österreichischer Bildhauer (1865 Wien bis 1922 ebenda), besuchte die Klasse der Kunstakademie in Wien von Professor Laufenberg und war befreundet mit Gustav und Ernst Klimt sowie Carl Geiger, seine Vorliebe galt der Darstellung von Indianern und Figuren aus der amerikanischen Geschichte, berühmt ist die Plastik "Der ländliche Festzug" und seine Lösung des Mechanismus von bewegbaren "Wiener Bronzen", wie der bekannten "Monna Vanna", Quelle: Wiener Bronzen, von Dietmar Seiler und Peter Stauber 1991.

Artist information: Austrian sculptor (1865 Vienna - 1922 ibid.), attended Professor Laufenberg's class at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and was friends with Gustav and Ernst Klimt and Carl Geiger, his preference was the depiction of Native Americans and figures from American history, famous is the sculpture "Der ländliche Festzug" and his solution of the mechanism of movable "Wiener Bronzen", such as the well-known "Monna Vanna", source: Viennese Bronzes, by Dietmar Seiler and Peter Stauber 1991.
