Mary icon in a silver oklad19th century, inscribed in Church Slavonic, silver stamped 84 Zolotniki and two further indistinct hallmarks, tempera over chalk ground on hardwood panel, depicting Maria Hodegetria, the Christ Child as a standing full-length figure in the gesture of blessing to her left, extremely finely chiselled, gold-bronzed oklad, this old retouched, otherwise in good condition, dimensions 22.5 x 18.5 cm.
