Silver Baroque-style decanter1st half 20th century, silver stamped 800, Italian hallmark with star and illegible no., possibly 23 AL for Guerci & Co. Alessandria, heavy pear-shaped jug with domed foot and forward-sweeping spout, decorated with a warped ribbed pattern, shell-shaped hinged hinged lid, the handle as a fully sculpted Bacchus on a vine tendril, in good condition for its age, h 32 cm, g approx. 2073 g.
