Erzgebirge ceiling lantern Dated Christmas 1951, fretwork in wood, painted in colour, backed with glass mica and paper, square body with four stepped levels and a figurative crown running all the way round depicting the Nativity scene, the Christ Child and Christmas elves; inside, an adhesive label with a handwritten dedication: “To my dear Werner … ‘Merry Christmas!’ … Your loving Dad, Karl Naumann … 1st Sunday in Advent, 2 December 1951”, originally fitted with five electric lights and suspended from gold braid; electrical components in need of repair and showing minimal scuffs, otherwise in good condition for its age; dimensions 37 x 53 x 53 cm, H max. 100 cm.
