Wahl, geritzte Modellnummer Q163., Bossierernummer 124 und Malernummer 69., naturalistische Ausformung mit polychromer Aufglasurbemalung und dezenter Goldstaffage, auf ovalem Sockel mit Rocaillerand eine Amorette beim Emporklettern an einem Baum, dieser mit Vogelnest in der Krone und Steckvase im unteren Bereich, seltenes Exemplar, Gefäßwandung mit haarfeinem horizontalen Brandriss und Blätter fachmännisch restauriert, sonst guter altersgemäßer Zustand, H 25,5 cm. Meissen “Cupid on the Lookout” Designed by August Ringler 1897-1899, Knaufschwerter mark 1860-1924, 1st grade, incised model number Q163, modeller’s number 124 and painter’s number 69., naturalistic modelling with polychrome overglaze painting and subtle gold decoration, on an oval plinth with a rocaille border: a cupid climbing up a tree, the tree featuring a bird’s nest in the crown and a vase in the lower section; a rare specimen; the body of the vase has a hairline horizontal crack caused by firing, and the leaves have been expertly restored; otherwise in good condition for its age; H 25.5 cm.
