On the second leaf, the stamp of the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Greenwald, Av Beis Din of Chust. Additional signature on the title page: ”הצעיר אליעזר זעירי דמן חבריא”. The famed Gaon Rabbi Moshe Greenwald Av Beis Din of Chust the author of Arugat Habosem, one of the leading rabbis and Rosh Yeshivas of Hungary. Was a disicple of Rabbi Menachem Katz Prostitz of Tzehlim and a disicple of the Ketav Sofer in Pressburg. Served as Rav of several Hungarian communities and since 1893 as Av Beis Din of Chust, where he established yeshiva which became one of the largest in HUngary. Although he had belonged to the Beis Midrash of the Chasam Sofer, he adpoted Chassidic customs and used to travel to the Admorim of Belz and Sighet. His famed Halachic and Aggadic works were titled Arugat Habosem. His son is Rabbi Yaakov Yechizkiya Greenwald, Av Beis Din and Admor of Papa and his grandson is the Admor Rabbi Yosef Greenwald of Papa who established the Papa Chassidut in the USA after the Holocaust.
