”Search for Chumros” - Fascinating Letter by the Gaon Rabbi Meir Shapiro to His Wife the Rebbetzin - Sonik, 1920 - Fascinating Letter by the Gaon Rabbi Meir Shapiro, the Rosh Yeshiva of Chachmei Lublin, to his wife the Rebbetzin.  The letter is from the years during which he served as Rav of Sonik and his wife went to a convalescent home. In the letter, Rabbi Shapiro addresses her fear that the meat in the convalescent home was not Kosher. Surprisingly, Rabbi Shapiro tells her that ”Bedi'avad it is Kosher. Eat meat and when you fully recover serach for Chumros...” [transltaed from Yiddish]. The letter also contains updates about the town, the rabbinate, the yeshiva he had established there and more.  The letter is handwritten and signed by him [1] leaf. 23X29.5 cm.  Good condition.
