Letter by the Gaon Rabbi Dov Berish Weidenfeld of Tshebin - Jerusalem, 1946 - Letter by the Gaon of Tshebin, to Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Klein, previously a Rav in Nuremberg and now in Haifa, about the printing of the book of his in-law, Rabbi Eliezer Mintz Av Beis Din of Kempno. In his letter, Rabbeinu reminisces about the above Gaon. The Gaon and Posek Rabbi Dov Berish Weidenfeld [1881-1966], the Rav of Tshebin who was known as the Tshebiner Rov. Was famed for his genius, modesty and noble virtues. Was a Chassid of the Rav of Husiatyn and the Tzaddikim of Belz. Was one of the leaders of Mo'etzet Gedolei HaTorah of Agudas Yisroel. Immigrated to Israel after long wanderings through Bukhara and Siberia. After his immigration, the Imrei Emes of Ger instructed to honor him with an Aliyah of Asseret Hadibrot on Shavu'ot, saying that by doing so the Torah itself shall be honored! Established in Jerusalem the Kochav MiYaakov yeshiva and was revered by the entire Chareidi world. Like most of his letters, this one was dictated by him and handwritten by one of his disciples; unusually, in this letter, half a line in the middle of the text was handwritten by him. [1] leaf.
