Sefer HaRav HaMe'iri on Masechet Megillah. First and Special Edition - Amsterdam, 1769 - Sefer HaRav HaMe'iri. First edition of Chidushei HaMe'iri Beit Habchirah, one of the Rishonim.  Leib Sussmanesh Press. Amsterdam, 1769. First edition.  The first edition was based on a manuscript and published by Rabbi Chaim Hacohen of Belgrade. With approbations by the rabbis of Amsterdam including by Rabbi Shaul of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Hague and by the Shadarim of Hebron. The publisher, in his foreword, recalls that he published the book intending to use the profits from its sale to pay the ransom for his family which was abducted by bandits.  Ownership signature:  ”הקטן זיסקינד בן פו”מ [פרנס וממונה] כ”ה מרדכי לוי עמדן” His father, Rabbi Mordechai, was one of the leaders of the Ashkenazic community of Amsterdam in the 18th century and a member of the family of printers - Susskind Emden Segal and his brother, Naftali Hirtz.  [3], 40, [1] leaves. 20 cm.   Original elegant binding.
