Letter by the Gaon Rabbi Shneur Zalman Av Beis Din of Lublin Author of the Torat Cessed, with Many Chidushei Torah - Responsum letter by the Gaon Rabbi Shneur Zalman Av Beis Din of Lublin, the author of the Torat Chessed, one of the leading Chassidim of the Tzemach Tzeddek of Lubavitch/  Based on a comparison to other letters, the entire letter was handwritten by him.  We do not know to whom the letter was sent.  The letter contains comments on Talmudic Sugyot.  The Gaon Rabbi Shneur Zalman [Frodkin /Liader], author of the Torat Chessed. Was born in 1830 in Liadi. Since childhood was known as an Iluy and Gaon. Was a leading Chassid of the Tzemach Tzeddek of Lubavitch. Since 1868 served as Av Beis Din of Lublin. In 1892, he immigrated to Jerusalem and was recongized as one of its Gedolei Torah, alongside the Maharil Diskin and Rabbi Shmuel Salant. He passed away in 1902 and on his tombstone, it was written: Rabban shel kol Yisrael”.  [1] leaf. Minor restoration to the edge. Some perforations. Stains. Good condition.
