Copy of the Chasam Sofer's First Disciple, the Gaon Rabbi Shimon Weiner, Av Beis Din of Lovasberény - Sefer Berurei Midot, first edition - Prague, 1807.  Sefer Berurei Midot, elucidation on Dinei Eruvin and Medidat Tchumin, by Rabbi Tuvia Segal [Loit] of Harshitz. With the plates of charts. On the guard leaf, a dedication to the Gaon Rabbi Shimon Weiner.   The Gaon Rabbi Shimon Weiner  [1769-1771] , Av Beis Din of Lovasberény and the vicinity. Was born in Mattersdorf and was a disciple of its Av Beis Din, Rabbi Yissachar Ber Bloch. Was also a disciple of Rabbi Mordechai Bennet Av Beis Din of Nikolsburg. With the arrival of the Chasam Sofer to Mattersdorf, he became one of his first disciples. His sons were also disciples of the Chasam Sofer. Some of his Chidushim were published as well as his last will which was published in Kuntres Michtav Tzava'ah.  56 leaves. [2] plates.  Loose binding. Some moth. Good overall condition.
