Mikra'ei Kodesh First Edition Venice, 1586 - By the Mekubal Rabbi Yosef Samiga.  The content and importance of the work:  The author's introduction at its beginning. Section I on the Mitzvor of Yirah and Ahava and their roots. Section II on the secretes and Te'amim of the Mitzvor. The book had many editions and was accpted with reverence by all Jewish communities.  In his introduction, the author states that if one studies the book on Yom Tov it is as if he had studied Torah all year round since Yom Tov influences the entire year: '' היא היא הקריאה והלמוד הראוי ומוטל על כל המון ישראל לקרוא בשבתו ובפרט ביום טוב המקודשים... ויעלה עליו כאלו עסק בתורה כל השנה כולה, כי מן היום טוב המקודשים נשפעים כל ימות השנה''. The author's greatness:  The Gaon and Mekubal Rabbi Yosef Samiga, Rosh Yeshiva in Padova and Venice, author of Sefer Porat Yosef on the Shas and the Peirush Derech Yamin on Kabbalah. Was the Rav of Rabbi Chaim Benvanisti, author of the Knesset Hagedolah. His words are qouted in Chidushei HaMaharsha even though he was his contemporary and by Rabbi Yitzchak Nones Bekmonte in his book Shaar Hamelech.  The Minchat Eliezer refers to him as one of the Rishonim (!!!): ”בס' מקראי קודש להגאון מוה”ר יוסף ב”ר בנימין סאסיגה ז”ל מהראשונים (נדפס בוויניציאה שנת שמ”ו והביאו לס' הלז במהרש”א ובשעה”מ על הרמב”ם)... ומי האיש הירא את דבר ה' הרואה דברים חמורים ונוראים כאלו על היושב בסוכה בשמ”ע יוצאים מפי גאון וגדול מהראשונים בקדושה ובטהרה ולא יחרד לבבו” עכ”ל (Section III Siman 31).  Zuan Di Gara Press, Venice, 1586. First edition. In the author's lifetime.  6, 116 leaves. With the rare leaf at the end with the table of corrections. Approx. 19 cm.  Impressive and prestigious leather binding.   Quality paper. Some moth burrows mainlt in the margins.  Some stains.  Good-very good condition.
