Interesting and Lengthy Letter Handwritten by Maran the Rishon LeZion Rabbi Ovadua Yosef - Tamuz, 1985 - Lengthy letter in which Maran appeals to one of his acquaintances who filed suit in a court for some monetary dispute. In his letter, Rabbeinu asks that he withdraw the suit and use a Din Torah instead. At the top of the leaf, after the words הרב הראשי לישראל, Rabbeinu added the word ”מלפנים” (previously). This was in 1985 after his term ended much to his dismay in 1983 following a law that limited the term of Chief Rabbis to one only.
