Glosses by the Geonim of Jerusalem: the Author of the Imrei Binah, Rabbi Nosson Sneituch and a Dedication by Rabbi Zundel Salant - Sefer Rosh Yosef on Masechet Chulin by the author of the Pri Megadim. First edition - Frankfurt an der Oder, 1793.  Glosses and signatures:  On leaf 112, a gloss of 6 lines handwritten by the Gaon Rabbi Meir Auerbach, the author of the Imrei Binah . An additional gloss on leaf 69.  On leaf 40 and leaf 58, several notations of ”למדרש מנחם ציון” handwritten by the Gaon Rabbi Zundel of Salant.  It is common knowledge that Rabbi Zundel Salant was the Gabai Seforim of the Menachem Zion Beis Midrash of the Old City of Jerusalem and such notations were handwritten by him.  Handwritten signature on leaf 50: 'נתן שנייטוך' - the signature of the Gaon Rabbi Nosson Sneituch of Furth and later, Eretz Yisroel. On leaf 58, a lengthy gloss handwritten by him.  Stamp of the Lelov Yeshiva of Jerusalem: ”ישיבת לעלוב בירושלים עיה”ק תובב”א” . The Geonim of Jerusalem:   The Gaon Rabbi Meir Auerbach of Kalisch , author of SEfer Imrei Binah. Served as Rav of several Polish communiites. In 1859, immigrated to Eretz Yisrael, where he became one of the leaders of the Jewish community. Eventually, Rabbi Shmuel Salant appointed him as Rosh Av Beis Din of Jerusalem.  The Gaon Rabbi Nosson Sneituch , a sharp scholar, Dayan of the Beis Din of the Gaon Rabbi Wolf in Hamburg and Furth. His brother was the Gaon Rabbi Yosef, author of Shut Ribam Sneituch.  In his old age, he immigrated to Eretz Yisroel. The Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Orenstein was his grandson.  Rabbi Yosef Zundel Salant (1786-1866) the Rav of Rabbi Yisroel Salanter the founder of the Mussar Movement. His famed son-in-law, Rabbi Shmuel Salant wrote of him that he was a great Torah Scholar and knowledgeable in Nigleh and Nistar; yet due to his modesty, he managed to hide his greatness from people.  8-146 leaves. 15 leaves are missing. No binding. Stains. Good overall condition.
